Accessibility Statement
Avencrest Capital GmbH is dedicated to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including individuals with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience and apply relevant accessibility standards.
Our Commitment
Avencrest Capital GmbH believes that digital services should be accessible to everyone, regardless of ability, device, or circumstance. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website in adherence with internationally accepted standards and guidelines.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
The Avencrest Capital website is designed and maintained to meet or exceed WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance. In addition, our digital standards align with European Standard EN 301 549 and the German Federal Ordinance on Accessible Information Technology (BITV 2.0).
Measures Taken to Support Accessibility
We have incorporated the following technical and design practices across our website design system:
- Semantic Markup: We use structural HTML5 landmarks (
<header>,<nav>,<main>,<section>,<footer>) and an ordered heading hierarchy (<h1>through<h4>) to support intuitive screen reader navigation. - High Color Contrast: Text and interactive controls are tested against WCAG contrast algorithms, maintaining a minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio for body text and 3:1 for large text and key UI components against their backgrounds.
- Keyboard Operability: All interactive elements, navigation menus, links, and forms can be fully navigated and operated using a keyboard alone. High-visibility focus indicators (
:focus-visible) are implemented across all focusable elements. - Alternative Text: Informative images include descriptive alternative text (
altattributes). Purely decorative graphic elements are marked to be ignored by assistive technologies. - Scalable Typography & Zoom: The layout responds fluidly to text magnification up to 200% without clipping, horizontal scrollbars, or loss of content.
- Form Accessibility: All input fields, checkboxes, and buttons feature clear, programmatically associated labels, descriptive instructions, and accessible error notifications.
- Reduced Motion: We respect system preferences for reduced motion (
prefers-reduced-motion), suppressing decorative animations for users sensitive to motion.
Known Limitations & Potential Barriers
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility across every section of our website, some limitations may occur:
- Third-Party Documents (PDFs): Certain downloadable PDF guides, application checklists, or policy summaries received from third-party funding institutions may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers. We are actively working to remediate or provide HTML equivalents for these documents.
- Complex Financial Tables: Large comparative tables detailing financial metrics or international grant programmes may require horizontal scrolling on small mobile screens. We continue to optimize table reflow for handheld devices.
- External Partner Portals: When following an introduction to an external institutional lender's application portal, the accessibility of that external portal is governed by the respective provider.
